The Varsity Girls season has come to an end after another exciting playoff run. This year, the girls knocked off the number 3 seed (Damascus) in a hard-fought overtime win in the Regional Quarterfinals. The Lancers reached the Regional Semifinals for the 3rd straight year, but this year was not to be their year. The Lancers played well against Tuscarora (#2 seed), yet a PK at the end of the first half was too much to overcome.
The Lancers are 5-2 in the playoffs over the last 2 years and have finished above .500 both seasons.
Banquet
The Girls Banquet will be held on November 23rd at Morningside Inn.
Season End
The Varsity Boys season came to an end in the Regional Quarterfinals after a very hard-fought match vs Clarksburg. The match went back and forth with the lone goal coming on a break away allowed by a controversial non-call for off-sides. Our Boys pressed hard for the last 10 minutes to try to draw even but just couldn't get the ball in the net. It was an exciting match and a great effort by the team.
Banquet If you haven't filled out the form for the banquet please do so soon. If you need a form please contact Coach Gilmore or Coach Butler. Pictures

Beginning the 2008 fall soccer season, all players must wear shin guards that are approved by the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE). If players are not wearing NOCSAE-approved shin guards, they will not be allowed to participate in games, practices, or tryouts. If you need to purchase NOCSAE-approved shin guards, ensure that they say "NOCSAE Approved."
In addition, when purchasing NOCSAE-approved shin guards, players must ensure they are properly sized. To make this simple, make sure the shin guard covers most of the shin. For info on this new rule and for sizing info click HERE
